AWANA
AWANA Weekly Schedule - 5-7 pm Sunday Nights
5:00 p.m. Flag Ceremony with pledge to the American Flag and recognition of the Awana Flag. This is a formal patriotic time. We are blessed to live in this country. God has been good to us.
5:05 p.m. Awards are given to all who have earned them in the preceding week and must be wearing the uniform to receive the award. You child is proud to have earned these, and you helped. Now is the time to celebrate with him/her. Please try to attend this portion of the evening. Of course, parents are ALWAYS welcome.
The balance of the time is divided into three (3) segments:
Game Time: A friendly competitive time, with a balance of opportunities to earn individual accomplishments, as well as practicing teamwork and earning points. Sportsmanship and good, clean fun, with games designed specifically for the Awana Game Circle.
5:15 - 5:50pm -T & T
5:50- 6:20 -pm- Sparks (all Sparks)
6:25- 6:45 pm- Cubbies
6:45-7 pm - Puggles
Handbook Time provides an opportunity to achieve individually to earn awards to wear on the uniform, and earn Awana Bucks to spend on Store Nights. Also develops abilities to concentrate as we study, memorize, and grow spiritually.
Council Time consists of a song time, announcements of upcoming events, an age appropriate Biblical lesson with interactive group participation, and practical applications to the daily living of that group.
